Help us build a better plant library!

Postby DrBrown » Thu Mar 18, 2010 2:17 pm

The Earthscapes design staff wants your help. We will be releasing a new Earthscapes update in the future and we want to know what plants or trees you would like to see included that may not have been included in the version you are currently using. Please feel free to add as many plants as you like. We will do our best to make sure they make into the next release of the Visual Impact Library.

Just reply to this post and type in the name(s) of your suggestions, whether it be flowers, trees, shrubs, palms, or tropicals. If you think of more later, please come back to the forum and add to the list. We appreciate your input and time!! :)

Here are a few suggestions
Plants needed in my library Zone 8/9/10 .
Try to get the complete tree/palm with trunk
Trees:
That represent a 30/45-gallon sizes not established specimens Installable sizes.
Live Oak. Maple, Leylandi Cypress, Red Cedar, Crape Myrtle, Wax Myrtle, Dogwood, Redbud, Citrus, Torulosa juniper, Podocarpus,
Palms:
Washingtonia, Queen, Robelinii, Reclinata, Butia, Cabbage, Sylvestor, Canary Island etc
Plants:
Basic hedge shrubs (Single shrubs not groupings)- Nandina Domestica, Dwarf Burfordi Holly, Pittosporum, Jack Frost(Texanum), Gardenia(Mytsery, August Beauty, Radican), Viburnum (Odatis., Walters and Suspensum), Florida Natives, Ligustrum, Azaleas(many varieties to choose from, Camelia, Indian Hawthorn, etc
Groundcovers: This type of plant is okay to display in a grouping.
Asiatic Jasmine, Parsoni Juniper, Blue Pacific Juniper, Lantana, Heather, etc.
Any questions on my choices? - this was a quick run down. Mostly need plants available to the Zone 9 are my interests. I haven't had the time to make my own library so I am not using the program as a NEED to.
Thanks for asking for our input. I hope it was helpful.
